Any last minute Easter bunnies out there looking to add a bit of spring spunk to those baskets? These DIY carrots are a cinch to make and can be used in a variety of ways, and not just for Easter! Include them in shelf decor and table tops to boost that spring decor. I’m going to show you how I made this spring garland!
Items you’ll need:
Book Pages or any paper
You can use any paper you’d like to. Clearly I am going to use book pages, because I am surrounded by them, and they are far superior to everything. I started by cutting a half circle from the paper to get my perfect shape. Next, I rolled my paper into a cone shape. I found it easier to tape as I went along. When my cones were completed, I used fancy paper clips to attach them to the twine, but clothes pins would be a cute rustic look too. The greens made the cones a little top heavy so I added them after I hung the garland. Done! Honestly, I think gathering the supplies took the most time.
These carrots are not limited to garland! Stuff candy in them and use them in Easter baskets or any spring décor. This DIY décor is kid friendly too! I don’t know about you, but my kids are always up for a craft- especially if candy is possibly in the mix!
There are so many ways to customize the project to your preferences. Use hot glue and twine or ribbon or burlap or whatever you want to wrap the entire carrot. And oh my word- FABRIC! How did I not think of that? Pardon me while I go to the scrap fabric bin and spend the afternoon crafting carrots.
